Gatecrasher ft. Markus Schulz, Cyberport 07.10.2006

No rest for the wicked as the Mid-Autumn festival brought along all sorts of festivities. While families and kids opted for the colourful paper (and highly flammable) lanterns littering Victoria Park, the prospect of seeing Gatecrasher in the newly furnished tech-architecture of Tower 2 in Cyberport sounded much more appealing. Arriving at the queue at 1am, i bumped into the friendly "gym girls" who were out to party until dawn, despite having to get to work in less than 6 hours time!

The supporting acts were quick to disappear as headlining man Markus Schulz entered the room. Trademark tracks such as "Without you Near" were dropped with the Coldharbour touch, as were tracks such as Andy Moor's vs Orkidea's "YearZero" which made the fatigue quickly fade away.

Finishing with Ridgewalker's "Find", only a handful of partgoers were left, the majority having retired for the night. Walking home at 6am, the usually close walk from Cyberport to Pokfulam felt like an eternity. But the views of the south china sea at daybreak was beauty second to none!

Cant wait to the next party at this great venue!!!!

Hiking Pui O trail, Lantau 07.10.2006

Win got back from Shanghai and complained that she didnt do exercise for the whole 2 months, so we decided to check out the Pui O trail on Lantau. Great day for hiking, hot weather, apparently some snakes, but all was good as we hit Cheung Sha Beach afterwards with some drinks and a hearty meal.

The sand at the beach was black - which Im hesistant to guess the cause. Highlight was when an overhead broadcast was made to avoid startling a family of cows who had made their way onto the beach.

I really wanted to see a cantonese style bull-rush, but i guess it couldnt be helped. Damn!
